Extra work needs a photo and a size on the day

‘We’ll sort it at the end’ is how companies work for free. Extra work is only extra if it is written: a photo, a size, a date, and who saw it.
Checklist on the day
- Photo in the job folder, not only on a phone.
- Size or count written.
- Who asked for it — owner, engineer, your supervisor.
- Proposed to the client, then confirmed — not filed as true from a chat.
