Vibration limits for neighbours — write the number before the first hit

Distance in metres is not a plan. Quiet is not a control. If a neighbour can feel the work, the limit has to be a written number before the machine starts — and someone named has to watch it.

Known vs assumed

• Known: a written vibration limit for that neighbour, in the job folder.
• Assumed: ‘40 metres, it will be fine.’
• Assumed: last site’s limit copied to this street.

Checklist

• Who is next door — school, hospital, house, shop — written.
• Limit written, or work does not start.
• Who watches — named.
• What you do if the number is crossed — written, before the first hit.
